GROUND BEEF PASTA SAUCE

Is all made in one large pot and can be served over just about any type of pasta!

Now, I do not know about you but for me and my family. We like to make our pasta sauces from scratch as I have found them to not only be cheaper but also way more healthy as you can control the sodium levels and also make enough to freeze for another day.

This pasta sauce recipe has mushrooms also in it, which can be omitted if desired.

Then simple boil up some pasta on the side and serve overtop and mix well.

Sprinkle with a little parmesan cheese and enjoy!

WHAT IS PASTA WITH GROUND BEEF CALLED

Ground beef pasta is also known as Bolognese.

Ground Beef Pasta Sauce

Can be made with or without mushrooms, I like the addition of the mushrooms

Also, you can add just about any type of pasta to it! Today, I choose penne pasta.

ground beef pasta sauce instant pot

GROUND BEEF PASTA SAUCE INSTANT POT

Yes, you can cook this in your instant pot when in a hurry.

Simple, be sure to brown the hamburger first then toss in all the ingredients and mix well before setting to pressure cook!

GROUND BEEF PASTA SAUCE SLOW COOKER

Yes, you can also cook this in your slow cooker. But i highly recommend browning the hamburger prior then toss in all the ingredients and set it and forget it! Well no longer than 8 hours that is.

IS GROUND BEEF SPAGHETTI HEALTHY

It can be made healthy depending on the ingredients you want to use. To make this super healthy be sure to use lean ground beef, pasta sauce and beef stock with low sodium content or omit the salt.

Now making a homemade pasta sauce is super simple and there are a few different variations. You can cook the beef once browned in red wine or beef stock.

Being I have a toddler in the house, I will use beef stock.

However, traditionally Italians who make the best Bolognese sauce will use red wine and that works just as well for making homemade pasta sauces.

This recipe can also be doubled up of course, then you would have plenty of pre-made frozen sauces to pull from. Making for some very easy yet healthy homemade pastas whenever you’d like.

HOW TO MAKE GROUND BEEF PASTA SAUCE

  • First you will want to start with either a lean or medium lean package of ground beef.
  • Sauté the ground beef in a large Dutch oven for 5 minutes then add in the diced mushrooms.
  • Cook both together till browned, then toss in all your seasonings and stir well to combine.
  • Next add in 1 cup of pureed canned tomatoes or passata sauce whatever you have on hand.
  • Meanwhile, add 2 cups of either red cooking wine or 2 cups of beef stock to the ground beef.
  • Then in another pot, add 8 cups of water and 1 tbsp of cooking oil and bring to a boil before adding in 2 cups of your favorite pasta. I choose Penne for this recipe!
  • Once the pasta has cooked, strain and set aside.
  • Toss the pasta in the cooked hamburger sauce and serve with parsley and parmesan cheese.

WHAT PASTA CAN YOU MAKE WITH GROUND BEEF

Basically any type of pasta will work. I used penne, but this also would go well over spaghetti or pappardelle.

What is in Borscht Ukrainian Soup

Made with beets, potatoes, cabbage, onions, and other fresh, nutrient-rich ingredients, this filling and flavorful soup is bursting with health benefits.

WHO INVENTED BORSCHT

Some people think Borscht soup originated in Russia, however it’s actually from the Ukraine. When searching the web and cook books, you will find there are several ways to make borscht.

I prefer it just like this, with my vegetables chopped up very finely as opposed to the chunky versions, after all this is a soup not a stew.

HOW TO MAKE BORSCHT SOUP

Borscht can be made several different ways, so it all comes down to personal preferences. But one thing is for certain, you want to use beets. Fresh is always best, however pre frozen can work too.

Example: Borscht Soup can be made vegetarian or not. Also it can have cabbage, carrots, red beans and potatoes in it or not. Whatever you have on hand USE this soup is very versatile.

CAN BORSCHT BE FROZEN

This recipe will make a fairly large pot of soup, so if you have any any leftovers “which is highly unlikely” then yes you can freeze it for another time. Think meal prep, make a big pot and store it away in the freezer for some healthy grab and go lunches!

HOW LONG WILL BORSCHT KEEP IN THE FRIDGE

Up to 5 days, the longer it is stored the deeper the flavors that will develop. However if you add meat to your soup, you will want to eat it up in 2 days.
