Today, I’m sharing with you one of my favorite Chicken and Spinach curry recipes.

 CHICKEN AND SPINACH CURRY {CHICKEN SAAG}

This dish is also known as {Chicken Saag} or {Palak Chicken}. And is a very popular Indian Dish.

Not only is it very tasty it is also super healthy for you. Plus it can be on the table in less than 30 minutes!!

EAZY PEEZY!

Typically it is prepared on the stovetop, however if you have a pressure cooker than you will really like how quick it is to prepare.

It’s like any typical Indian Chicken Curry dish. However, this recipe calls for a lot of spinach, tomatoes and greek yogurt vs the typical cream or cashew based curries.

For the tomatoes, I like to use pure passata tomato sauce. Which is basically uncooked pureed tomatoes, it works so well in this recipe.

“Passata sauce” can be found in just about any supermarket next to all the other jarred tomato sauces. If you have never tried it, please do. I always have it in stock in my pantry as I cook with it often.

If you follow my website, you will see that I really love Indian food. And make it pretty much every week in this house. Now depending on my mood will cook on the stovetop or in my pressure cooker!

Both methods are amazing, one is just simply quicker.

CHICKEN AND SPINACH CURRY {CHICKEN SAAG}

Also this recipe is very inexpensive, think about it.

You go to the restaurant and you pay over $10 for this dish plus with the addition of rice or naan and the tip. The dinner will run you over $20 per person.

But if you make this at home, each dish costs under $5 dollars. So it really is a great option for a healthy weeknight meal.

CHICKEN AND SPINACH CURRY {CHICKEN SAAG}

If you have never Indian food before, you will soon learn how easy it truly is to make.

I have experimented with plenty of curries for some time now, so you can trust me when I say this recipe is a sure winner.

Now you will want to go down the ethnic food aisle in your local grocery to pick up some “Masala Curry” which is the right kind of powder that is really needed for this recipe.

Then you will add just a few more traditional indian spices that will make this dish absolutely amazing.

IS CHICKEN AND SPINACH CURRY {CHICKEN SAAG} HEALTHY

Yes, this dish is made with chicken breasts, fresh spinach, tomatoes, greek yogurt and a bunch of spices.

Once you try this recipe, you will be hooked promise.
