Creamy Leek Pasta Sauce

This Creamy Leek Pasta Sauce is a one pot recipe that is made with sliced leeks, butter, cream, vegetable stock, parmesan cheese and pepper and serves well over any type of pasta!

You can make this sauce on the thicker side, by removing some of the liquid and placing in a small bowl with 1 or 2 tbsp of cornstarch.

Whisking, mixing it well and adding back into the sauce during the cooking process. 

Some people swear by not using the green part of the leeks as they think its to hard. I love the green part and can assure you that if you sauté it in butter along with the white parts till tender it will become just as soft and palpable. BENEFITS OF LEEKS

Leeks are high in vitamin K, which is important for blood clotting and bone health. They also contain vitamins A and C, which are important for a healthy immune system and skin. Leeks are also a good source of folate, a B-vitamin that’s essential for cell growth and development.

HOW TO MAKE LEEK PASTA SAUCE

  • Start by slicing your leeks, then place them in a a colander and rinse off any mud or dirt then strain
  • Next bring a large salted pot of water to a boil and add in your pasta (any pasta works) i used penne.
  • Cook till al dente, strain the water out and set aside
  • In the same pot or pan add in the butter and leeks, sauté for 5 mins before adding in the minced garlic and chopped onion and mustard powder. 
  • Sauté everything till soft, then add in the chicken stock and bring to a medium heat.
  • Simmer for 2 mins then add in the cream, parmesan cheese and pepper.
  • Simmer 2 more mins, then toss in the pasta.
  • Serve hot! 

I served this over some penne pasta today!

If you like the taste of cooked onions or fresh vegetables then you are going to go bonkers for this dish! With the addition of the parmesan cheese it becomes creamier.

Add as much parmesan cheese as you’d like!

What is in Lemon Garlic Butter Sauce PASTA

  • Pasta of your choice, I choose fusilli pasta
  • Butter 
  • Parsley 
  • Garlic Powder
  • Lemon
  • Cream
  • Flour

HOW TO MAKE Lemon Garlic Butter Sauce PASTA

  • Start by cooking the pasta cook till al dente
  • Strain and set aside
  • In a medium pot add the cream then whisk in the flour and blend till smooth over medium-low heat
  • Add in the parmesan cheese and butter
  • Seasonings and toss with lemon juice and zest
  • Add in the pasta, toss to coat
  • Serve

Jamaican Scotch Bonnet Hot Sauce recipe

This is the best Jamaican Scotch Bonnet Hot Sauce recipe you will ever try! Yes that is a big statement but I think its true. What makes this the best recipe is that it has a few citrus in it from oranges to limes and even pineapples. 

SCOTCH BONNET HOT PEPPER SAUCE RECIPE

Everything is mixed all together in a blender making this one of the easiest recipes to make.

Just be sure to put on gloves of some kind when handling the scotch bonnet peppers as they are very hot and burn the eyes if in contact.

Protect the kids and pets by tossing out what is not used 🙂

SCOTCH BONNET HOT PEPPER SAUCE INGREDIENTS

10 GREEN Scotch bonnet peppers
5 Red & Yellow Scotch bonnet peppers
1/2 Orange
2 slices of pineapple, diced
1 lime, juice
1/2 cup of Vinegar
2 tbsp olive oil
1/2 onion
3 cloves of garlic
1 tbsp of Cilantro
pinch salt

I always have homemade Jamaican Scotch Bonnet Hot Sauce in my fridge. It is easy to make and if you like spice then this recipe is for you! I like to add it on chicken and shrimp! And is almost every Jamaican recipes I make at home! 

The Yellow and Red are the hottest. Yellow has the best flavor. If you find a purple one beware that is the hottest of them all.

According to Forbes. A Scotch Bonnet Pepper has a heat rating of 100,000-350,000, the scotch bonnet can be up to 40 times hotter than a typical jalapeño pepper.

This is the Best Cracker dip recipe I have ever tried, if you are a fan of crack dip then you are going to be a sure fan of this dip. It is best served cold and combines a very popular dip called Heluva good dip with the addition of a few more ingredients that put it over the edge to make it so incredibly delicious that will have the whole house craving for more. 

Not only is this best cracker dip super tasty it is healthy too! Pair it with a whole grain cracker and give into that snacking craving guilt free.

Best Greek Tzatziki Sauce recipe

This is the Best Greek Tzatziki Sauce recipe ever. It is fresh, homemade and has dill & mint in it which gives it such depth of flavor.

This is my go to tzatziki recipe, it does not compare to anything you could buy in the store. 

Kind like spinach dip, you do not want the store bought you want homemade. Same goes for tzatziki, it just tastes fresh homemade and real. 

So please forget the store bought kind because this stuff is in a whole other caliber. 

YUM!

Tzatziki is a greek sauce that is made from thick Greek yogurt, fresh english cucumbers, fresh garlic, olive oil, and dill. Some people also add mint. 

I add both!! Why not? It is sooooo good. 

This tzatziki is sure to be one of the best varieties you have ever tasted.

TRUST ME!

It goes great with just about any Greek meal and it’s a very very easy to make!!

 

Simply add in your grated and chopped vegetables, stir and you’re ready to eat it!

Serve it with chicken, lamb or just about any other type of Greek Main dish.

 

Eat as much as you want, because it’s super healthy for you too. 

And because of the Greek Yogurt, it also has a ton of protein. 

MAN OH MAN, THIS IS THE GOOD STUFF!

For best results chill it in an airtight container for up to 2 hours or more before serving.

The longer it chills in the fridge the thicker it becomes and the flavors really set in.

Samyang Cream Carbonara recipe

This easy Samyang Cream Carbonara recipe is made with carbo ramen noodles and tteokbokki rice cakes that are simmered with milk and mozzarella cheese to provide the most delicious creamy ramen you may have ever had! 

This Creamy Carbonara Samyang recipe 

Can be made several ways, with or without milk and with or without the extra shredded mozzarella cheese. And with or without the Ttobokii rice cakes. But I highly recommend, not omitting the milk or mozzarella cheese cause it makes them that much more richer in flavor. 

This SAMYANG Carbonara ramen is also ready in less than 15 minutes, so good and so easy. I like to serve crunchy fresh cucumber or kimchi with it most times as well.

What is Samyang Cream Carbonara ramen? 

It is an Instant Ramen noodles that hails from Korea and has become popular across the globe. It comes in a dark pink package as seen below and can be found at most Walmart’s or in your local Korean grocery stores. 

How to Make Samyang Cream Carbonara recipe

  • Start by bringing a medium pot of water to a boil – 
  • Add in 1 package of Samyang Cream Carbonara noodles
  • Then the rice cakes, simmer on medium heat till the noodles are near soft
  • Strain the water out and add back to the pot
  • Add in the milk and 2 seasoning packages and stir to combine
  • Top with sliced green onions and mozzarella cheese
  • Turn down to a low heat and cover, simmer / steam till the Mozzarella cheese has melted.
