Easy Ramen Noodles recipe

This Easy Ramen Noodles recipe just like the popular Tiktok ramen which has sesame seeds, scrambled eggs and scallions that are mixed with a butter, garlic, soya sauce and brown sugar broth to create the ultimate comfort food.

This is a popular recipe that is also now known as TIKTOK Ramen over the past few years.

Tiktok Ramen

Is more sweet and savory vs spicy and savory. That is because it has brown sugar and soya sauce in it. If you want some spice to this dish simply add in some red pepper flakes.

What type of ramen is best for ramen noodles

You can use your favorite really, just omit the seasoning as you will be making your own with this recipe.

  • Start by whisking / beating your eggs till smooth in a medium bowl
  • Add in your cooking oil to the pan
  • Pour in your egg mixture to the pan
  • Cook over medium heat, once you see the egg starts to bubble on the edges
  • Take chopsticks and fold inward slowly, from corner to corner.
  • Fold over the eggs this is how they remain fluffy, set aside to toss with the cooked ramen
  • Cook the ramen, strain and set aside
  • Prepare the sauce then toss in the ramen and eggs

Creamy Ramen Soup Recipe

This Creamy Ramen Soup Recipe is ready in less than 10 minutes and is made with miso paste, chicken stock, seaweed, sesame seeds and instant ramen noodles. Can’t get any quicker and easier than this!

Ramen noodles are one of my favorite things to eat, however I do not use the whole package of the seasoning ever which comes with most instant noodles as it is to salty.

So my recipe calls for just a pinch of the seasoning package. You can use more or less according to your taste. Keep in mind I used Instant Ichiban ramen you may choose whichever you prefer.

Also, there are many other types of ramen noodles to choose from also which would work perfectly for this soup also. From dry to fresh it is limitless what you can try!

WHAT IS MISO RAMEN

It is a soup stock that is mixed with miso paste which is fermented beans which is a popular seasonings in Japan. It gives this soup an Umami taste and texture. There is red or white miso paste, I recommended using white for this soup! Unless you want a stronger tasting miso and if so I highly recommend using no seasoning at all besides this.

WHITE MISO PASTE

RED MISO PASTE

This soup is ready in no time and is also inexpensive.

TYPES OF RAMEN  NOODLES

  • INSTANT RAMEN  NOODLES
  • FRESH RAMEN NOODLES
  • DRY RAMEN NOODLES – no seasoning

I tend to use ITCHIBAN NOODLES there my favorite!

Ingredients you can add to your Ramen Soup

  • Other vegetables, such as snap peas, green onions, broccoli
  • Meats, such as shredded chicken or diced, shrimp, beef, pork etc

Just make sure y0u add more time to thoroughly cook everything!

Instant Shrimp Ramen Noodles recipe

This Instant Shrimp Ramen Noodles recipe is made with shrimp, mushrooms and green onions and a package of your favorite ramen noodles.

I dont know about you but Ramen Noodles are a comfort food to me.

I do not eat them all the time, however whenever the craving hits.

I like to make them just like this!

Now this is not the type of ramen noodles that you will find from a local street vendor in Japan.

No that stock is simmered all day long and those noodles are made from scratch.

However here in North America, this is the next best thing if you ask me.

ARE SHRIMP RAMEN NOODLES GOOD

Of course, if you love ramen noodles and shrimp.

Then your going to love adding them together to make this delicious and simply quick dish.

How can these Shrimp Ramen noodles be adjusted you ask?

  • You can choose which type of ramen noodles to use ” I like to use plain old Ichiban Noodles”
  • You can choose to omit the spices that come with those Ichiban noodles and use low sodium soya sauce instead.
  • You can also choose which vegetables you add to the noodles.
  • You can choose the level of spice as well, by adding more or less of the red chili paste.

Lastly, you can choose other meats to add. Such as sliced beef, pork or even an egg.

These are your noodles after all 🙂

This dish can be ready in less than 20 minutes, easy and delicious!

And is made with shrimp, mushrooms and green onions.

Along with Ichiban ramen noodles that are simmered in a garlic, ginger sauce that you’re sure to enjoy.

HOW TO MAKE SHRIMP RAMEN NOODLES

You can use plain ramen noodles instead of the Ichiban variety.

However if you do then you will want to use seafood stock in replace of the water along with 1 tsp to 1 tbso of soya sauce as well.

My recipe simply uses the pre packaged ichiban seasoning with 2 cups of water.

Your method to preparing this is totally up to you!!

The kind I used – feel free to use plain ramen noodles and omit the water for STOCK.

WHAT DOES SHRIMP RAMEN NOODLES TASTE LIKE

They taste a lot like any ramen just with a seafood taste added to them!

I have always loved ramen noodles, I have tried almost every kind.

My favorite is ichiban and that is why I used them in this recipe.

However if your trying to limit your salt intake then you can substitute the seasoning that comes in that ramen package and use vegetable, chicken or seafood stock instead.

WHERE DO RAMEN NOODLES ORIGINATE

The origins of ramen noodles originated from Japan however the Chinese are the ones who brought it over in the mid 1800’s making this recipe more Chinese.

If you end up giving it a try I would love to hear what you think of it in the comments below.

Spicy Ramen Noodles recipe

This Spicy Ramen Noodles recipe is easy to make and is ready in less than 10 minutes and are made with pre-made Ichiban instant noodles, kimchi, green onions and an egg.

Looking for another quick and easy Ramen recipe, try my Cheesy Ramen or Shrimp Ramen Noodles or Beef and Pepper Ramen

What I love about making these Instant Ramen Noodles is there 10x better than the packaged kind which just have the flavors of kimchi in it.

WHAT IS Spicy Ramen Noodles recipe

In regards to this recipe it is packaged ramen noodles served with fresh Kimchi which is fermented cabbage. Along with green onions and a cooked egg.

It is best to try numerous brands of Kimchi to find the one that suits you. Some have more spice or fishy taste than others. I tend to like one that is more spicy vs fishy and will also stay away from the Chinese brands because they are  not to my liking.

BEST KIMCHI BRAND

WHICH KIMCHI IS GOOD FOR YOU

Most Kimchi are good for you as it contains high levels of probiotics because the cabbage has been naturally fermented during the kimchi making process. It is best to try a few brands and find the one you like best.

HOW TO MAKE Spicy Ramen Noodles recipe

  • Start with a package of your favorite Ramen noodles, for me it is Ichiban Ramen Noodles, if you are on a low sodium diet. Simply use beef or chicken stock in replace of the seasoning or light soya sauce. Or you can half the package of seasoning. I half the package personally!
  • Then cook the noodles, they take no more than 3 mins.
  • Remove most of the water, leaving roughly 1 cup and toss in your seasonings, green onions and fresh kimchi.
  • Mix together and heat up for 1 more min to serve.
  • Top with a fresh boiled egg and season with sesame seeds.

KIMCHI RAMEN SAMYANG

I used to eat kimchi ramen Samyang often, which is an instant noodle that can be purchased at almost any larger grocery store. See below! And sometimes will make this ramen with these noodles instead of the Ichiban but will always add FRESH KIMCHI too!!

In my dragon roll I have spicy shrimp, avocado on the inside and out and cucumber on the inside.

Also, note you do not need all those fancy tools that are sold online to make sushi at home.

You just need a sushi rolling mat which can be found at most local dollar stores along with saran wrap for rolling the sushi and of course the ingredients to make it.

TOOLS NEEDED

  1. Saran Wrap
  2. Sushi Rolling Matt

HOW TO MAKE DRAGON ROLL SUSHI

Start by preparing your rice, you will want to cook with sushi rice only. Simply follow the package instructions, most rice’s take 10 minutes. You will cook that rice in water and then once cooled down add in the rice vinegar.

Then set it aside to cool down completely on the countertop is best.

Once the rice is ready the rest is easy as 1, 2, 3

  • 1, Place your BAMBOO SUSHI MATT down on a flat surface then cover completely with a sheet of saran wrap, then the SEAWEED SHEET next.
  • Next comes the sushi rice, place some rice down and matt it with your hand to make it flat (see picture above) for the amount of rice you want to ideally use. More or less will not hurt the processes unless of course you use to much then it won’t roll.
  • Season the rice with sesame seeds
  • Meanwhile, pan fry the shrimp in 1 tsp of butter till cooked, then chop it up with a knife and toss in a bowl with siracha sauce and mayo to coat.
  • Place that shrimp as see (above) onto of the rice. Along with the slices of avocado
  • Then roll using the matt one side till and tuck in what is on the other, repeat for the others ide and then roll back and forth making sure not to expose the food.
  • You should now see just rice and it rolled neatly, sprinkle with sesame seeds then roll once more to make sure they stick.
  • On a cutting board, using a sushi knife or sharp knife. Cut your sushi thin or thick however you like.
  • Garnish with some leftover spicy shrimp mixture and sliced avocados.
  • Serve with soya sauce, ginger or wasabi if desired.
