Spicy Ramen Noodles recipe

What I love about making these Instant Ramen Noodles is there 10x better than the packaged kind which just have the flavors of kimchi in it.

WHAT IS Spicy Ramen Noodles recipe

In regards to this recipe it is packaged ramen noodles served with fresh Kimchi which is fermented cabbage. Along with green onions and a cooked egg.

It is best to try numerous brands of Kimchi to find the one that suits you. Some have more spice or fishy taste than others. I tend to like one that is more spicy vs fishy and will also stay away from the Chinese brands because they are  not to my liking.

BEST KIMCHI BRAND

MY FAVORITE KIMCHI

WHICH KIMCHI IS GOOD FOR YOU

Most Kimchi are good for you as it contains high levels of probiotics because the cabbage has been naturally fermented during the kimchi making process. It is best to try a few brands and find the one you like best.

HOW TO MAKE Spicy Ramen Noodles recipe

ichiban noodles

  • Start with a package of your favorite Ramen noodles, for me it is Ichiban Ramen Noodles, if you are on a low sodium diet. Simply use beef or chicken stock in replace of the seasoning or light soya sauce. Or you can half the package of seasoning. I half the package personally!
  • Then cook the noodles, they take no more than 3 mins.
  • Remove most of the water, leaving roughly 1 cup and toss in your seasonings, green onions and fresh kimchi.
  • Mix together and heat up for 1 more min to serve.
  • Top with a fresh boiled egg and season with sesame seeds.

KIMCHI RAMEN SAMYANG

I used to eat kimchi ramen Samyang often, which is an instant noodle that can be purchased at almost any larger grocery store. See below! And sometimes will make this ramen with these noodles instead of the Ichiban but will always add FRESH KIMCHI too!!
