Wrapped in puff pastry!
Made with lean ground beef, onion, brown mushrooms, eggs, panko bread crumbs, flour, red wine vinegar, worcestershire sauce and seasoned with fresh thyme and rosemary your family is sure to enjoy appreciate this homemade recipe any time of the year.
Be sure to use fresh thyme and rosemary in this recipe, it makes all the difference. Also do not skip on the worcestershire and red wine vinegar it helps to merge all the flavors together.
First your going to want to cook the hamburger and onion on it’s own. Once that is done you will want to saute the mushrooms till browned. Then you can season with salt and pepper and your herbs, before placing inside the rolled out puff pastry.
You can make this with pre-made puff pastry to save time or make your pastry from scratch. Depending on my time frame, I will sometimes make it from scratch however today I used the pre-made stuff.

You may be more familiar the more traditional “Beef Wellington” type recipes. Which have you using Beef tenderloin instead of hamburger. However this recipe is just as good and if you use brown mushrooms alongside the hamburger it becomes absolutely delicious too!
This recipe easily serves 3 peoples for dinner, if your wanting to serve more make 2. If your serving this as a side it can serve up to 6.
