Quick Ginger Beef

  • One Pot/Pan

Skip the takeout and have this Ginger Beef on the table in less time than I takes to order to your home.

  • Easy

Who knew cooking chinese food at home would be this easy, I can make this Ginger Beef dish in under 15 minutes no problem as long as I prep a little prior.

Quick Ginger Beef

Preparing in advance takes no time at all, just tenderize the beef in some cornstarch and water and pre cook the rice.

To tenderize the beef, simply slice the flank steak across the grain and marinated it in a cornstarch water mixture prior.

And then cook the rice in a rice cooker, once those step are done the rest of the dish takes literally less 15 minutes to pull together.

  • 2 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup Water
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 3 tbsp Fresh Ginger Root
  • 1 large Onion

  • 5 tbsp Soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp Sesame seeds

  1. Start by slicing the beef against the grain and in a large bowl whisk together the cornstarch and water to form a watery paste. Add the slice beef and allow it to marinade for a minimum of 25 minutes. While the beef is marinating cook some rice in your rice cooker, then set it and forget it.
  2. Once the beef has marinated add the cooking oil to a hot pan and saute/fry the beef till browned. Remove and set aside for later.
  3. Now make the sauce, in a bowl add the white vinegar, sesame oil, soya sauce, ginger powder, dried red chili flakes, sugar and stir to dissolve.
  4. In the same skillet, heat up some cooking oil and toss in the minced ginger and garlic saute for 1 minute before adding in the sliced peppers and onions. Saute another 3 minutes then pour in the sauce simmer for another 2 minutes.
  5. Now add back in the cooked beef and toss to coat several times. Lastly add in the sesame seeds and stir before serving. ENJOY!
