The Ultimate Ontario Peameal Bacon Breakfast Foil Pack

Step 1: Prepare The Potatoes

Bring a pot of salted water to a boil.

Step 3: Seal And Cook

Fold the foil tightly around the ingredients.

Seal all edges well.

Cook:

Campfire Method

Over medium campfire coals for:

20 minutes

turning once halfway through.

BBQ Method

Over medium heat for:

20 minutes.

Oven Method

At 400°F for:

20 minutes.


Step 4: Add The Eggs

Carefully open each foil packet.

Create a small well in the centre.

Crack one egg into each packet.

Leave the foil open slightly and return to the heat.

Cook an additional:

5–8 minutes

or until the eggs are cooked to your liking.


Step 5: Add The Cheese

Sprinkle shredded cheddar over top.

Allow it to melt for 1–2 minutes.


Step 6: Serve

Top with:

  • sliced green onions

Serve immediately while hot.
