What Makes This Burger Canadian?

The Canadian Prairies became home to thousands of Ukrainian immigrants beginning in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Their traditions, hard work, and recipes helped shape communities throughout Manitoba, Saskatchewan, and Alberta.

Perogies became one of the most recognizable foods associated with prairie life and remain a cherished comfort food enjoyed by Canadians from coast to coast.

This burger celebrates that heritage by combining a classic Canadian BBQ burger with one of the Prairies’ most iconic foods.

It is a small tribute to the generations of Ukrainian Canadians who helped make the Prairies what they are today.
