How To Make The Great Canadian Loaded Bacon Chowder

Step 1: Cook the Bacon

In a large Dutch oven or soup pot, cook chopped bacon over medium heat until crispy.

  • 1 cup celery, diced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 cups corn kernels
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh parsley or green onions for garnish
