Making a Seafood Cabbage Boil (Viral TikTok Recipe) is easy as the cabbage is simply seasoned prior and baked in a large Dutch oven for 3 hours. It truly is a set it and forget it meal!

The only difficult part is coring the cabbage. And i recommending doing it carefully with a strong knife. What i do, is place the cabbage down on the ground and sit around the cabbage and slice it into four sections and then will scoop out the middle with a strong knife.

You can scoop as much or lite out of the middle as desired. If you want to fill it with more seafood or potatoes, onions, corn etc you can scrape out much more.

It consists of baking a whole head of seasoned cabbage in the oven with butter, lemon juice and chicken stock. Along with adding some sautéed seasoned shrimp to the dish once cooked.

  • butter
  • olive oil
  • paprika
  • dried parsley
  • Old bay seasoning
  • Lemon pepper seasoning
  • Cajun seasoning
  • garlic powder
  • onion powder
  • lemon juice
  • seafood or chicken stock

HEALTHY SEAFOOD CABBAGE BOIL RECIPE

To make this dish healthy skip baking it in tinfoil which makes it extremely unhealthy as baking any salty food in tinfoil at a high temperature allows the foil to leech into the food. Which goes to your brain and other vital organs.

HOW TO MAKE A SEAFOOD CABBAGE BOIL

  • Simply wash the cabbage and remove the first outer layer. Before making your seafood boil sauce that you will then pour and mat all over the cabbage. Before pouring the sauce over the cabbage. Be sure to place the cabbage into a large Dutch oven. Once seasoned add some chicken stock to the bottom of the pot, to allow the cabbage to steam.

  • Place 1 tbsp of butter into the middle of the cabbage before baking in a pre-heated oven at 350 f for 2 hours. Be sure to bake the cabbage with the Dutch oven lid onto!
  • At the 2 hour mark, remove the lid and scoop out the sauce drippings which will be roughly 1/2 cup of liquid. Pour over the cabbage again, saving a few tbsp to sautĂ© the shrimp in.
  • Place back the cabbage in the oven and bake for one more hour.
  • During the last 15 minutes of cooking, sautĂ© the shrimp in butter till pink
  • Drizzle the drippings from the cabbage
  • Serve the cooked cabbage with the cooked shrimp.
  • Drizzle with olive oil

  • 1 stick of butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 tbsp paprika
  • 1 tbsp dried parsley
  • 1 tsp Old bay seasoning
  • 1/2 cup seafood or chicken stock
  • 1 tsp Lemon pepper seasoning
  • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
