Lemon Garlic Parmesan Shrimp Orzo

Not only is this recipe uncomplicated it is super easy to make and can even be enjoyed the next day where it is even better.

How to Make Lemon Garlic Parmesan Shrimp Orzo

  • Start by adding 2 tbsp of butter and 1 tbsp of olive oil to a pan, once melted add in the diced onion and sautĂ© 1 mixture before adding in the minced garlic.
  • SautĂ© together till transparent then add in 3 cups of chicken stock and the orzo, simmer on medium – low heat till the orzo is tender. About half the stock will be gone and then you can add in the heavy cream and all your seasonings.
  • Next toss in the parmesan cheese and shrimp!
  • Simmer on low heat till the shrimp is pink and fully cooked “roughly 3 mintues”
  • Serve hot with more Parmesan cheese if desired!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of orzo
  • 1 pound raw shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 3 cups chicken stock
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 onion, diced
  • 3 garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp dried parsley
  • 1 tsp lemon pepper seasoning
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
