How to Make Lobster Linguine

When Life Gives You Lemons, Make Lemon Butter Lobster Linguine

Step 1: Cook the Pasta

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.

Cook the linguine according to package directions until al dente.

Before draining, reserve ½ cup of pasta water.

Set aside.

Step 2: Steam the Lobster

Place the lobster claws and knuckles into a large skillet with 5 tablespoons of water.

Cover and steam for several minutes until heated through.

Remove the lobster meat from the shells and roughly chop into bite-sized pieces.

Reserve the lobster cooking liquid.

Step 3: Make the Lemon Butter Sauce

In the same skillet, melt the butter with the olive oil over medium-low heat.

Add the garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds.

Stir in the Old Bay seasoning, onion powder, chives, dill, lemon zest, and lemon juice.

Pour in the reserved lobster cooking liquid and simmer gently for 2 to 3 minutes.

Step 4: Add the Lobster

Add the lobster meat back into the skillet.

Gently toss to coat in the lemon butter sauce.

Cook for 1 to 2 minutes until warmed through.

Step 5: Toss with Linguine

Add the cooked linguine directly to the skillet.

Toss until evenly coated.

Add reserved pasta water a little at a time until the sauce becomes silky and coats every strand of pasta.

Step 6: Serve

Transfer to serving bowls.

Garnish with fresh parsley, additional dill, cracked black pepper, and lemon wedges.

Serve immediately.

Tips for the Best Lobster Linguine

  • Fresh Atlantic lobster delivers the sweetest flavour.
  • Don’t overcook the lobster once it’s removed from the shell.
  • Reserve your pasta water—it helps create a silky sauce that clings to the linguine.
  • Fresh lemon juice makes a noticeable difference in flavour.
  • Add a little extra dill if you’re a fan of fresh herb flavours.
