Imitation Crab Roll recipe

Imitation crab rolls are made pretty much made the same way you would make a real crab roll.

It has mayo, lettuce and chives or dill in it and is seasoned with old bay seasoning! You can also season with salt and pepper if preferred!

Real crab rolls also sometimes combine fresh chopped chives and celery. You can add that too if you prefer. This is how I prefer to make mine though!

Either way, this recipe is super easy and a satisfying summer type sandwich that can also be served to a large crowd! Just double if not tripe the ingredients and you will have sandwiches for everyone! This recipes makes 2 Imitation crab rolls.

WHAT IS IN A IMINATION CRAB ROLL

  • Imitation crab meat: You’ll need at least a 1 package or half a package per roll
  • Buttered bun: I used a crusty bun you can use a lightly toasted brioche bun as well.
  • Vegetables: You’ll need lettuce leaves, dill or chives
  • Mayonnaise: I like Hellman’s but you can also use miracle whip
  • Lemon: Lemon juice is added to the mayo mixture and gives the best flavor to this recipe.
  • Seasonings: Old bay seasoning and pepper
