It’s a flavorful white cheese sauce that is ready in less than 15 minutes and is super easy to make yet produces huge flavor for just about any type of pasta you want to serve with it.

Other Ingredients you can add to this Creamy Boursin Tomato Pasta Sauce would be mushrooms, spinach or even parmesan cheese. This recipe is similar to the famous TikTok recipe, however instead of baking it with pasta. You simply make it in less than a fraction of the time on the stove-top.

WHAT IS BOURSIN CHEESE

Boursin cheese is a brand of soft spreadable French cheeses. They come in 3 popular varieties and are all flavored with different ingredients. They are expanding their flavors by the day.

It is the perfect ingredient to flavor pasta and other dishes and it melts well and is similar to cream cheese.

Boursin Cheese Types

There are currently 8 flavors, Shallot & Chive, Black Pepper, Rosemary & Black Garlic, Basil and Chive, Garlic and fine herb, Fig & Balsamic.

For this one I used Shallot and Chive Boursin Cheese it’s one of my favorites too!

HOW TO MAKE CREAMY BOURSIN TOMATO PASTA SAUCE

  • In a large frying pan add half butter and olive oil to a skillet over medium-high
  • Add in the onion and sauté till translucent
  • Next, add in the minced garlic and sauté one more minute till fragrant
  • Remove the onions and garlic
  • And back in the same frying pan add remaining butter and oil
  • Sauté the sliced cherry tomatoes, till soft Add back in the onions and garlic
  • Pour in the heavy cream and stock turning the heat down to low- medium then adding in the Boursin cheese
  • Simmer till the cheese melts fully
  • Turn off the heat and serve over you favorite pasta

Add some red pepper flakes for added heat and or other herbs if desired!

Creamy Boursin Tomato Pasta Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 package of Boursin Cheese (of your liking)
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 2 shallots, diced
  • 2-3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup chicken or vegetable stock

Notes

  1. You can always add diced roma tomatoes in replace of cherry if desired
