Cream Cheese Sour Cream dip

When making a sour cream cheese dip at home you will want to start by cooking down some cheddar cheese with cream cheese on the stove top till creamy. Then allowing it to cool either in the fridge or counter before adding to the remaining dip ingredients.

This dip is served cold not hot. And since the dip has sour cream in it. You want to ensure the other elements are well cooled before adding that ingredient. Once the dip is made, you can seal it in an air tight container to chill and enjoy over a several day period.

This sour cream cheese dip serves well with vegetables and or your favorite tortilla chips.

WHAT TO PUT INTO SOUR CREAM DIP TO MAKE A DIP

It can be made with either cream cheese, cheddar cheese or any cheese that melts well. But before adding it to any cold sour cream be sure to cool the other cheese ingredients before hand other wise the sour cream will separate.

Super simple, melt the cheddar cheese and cream cheese together and allow to cool completely before folding in the sour cream and other ingredients

Chill and serve with your favorite vegetables or tortilla chips

CAN SOUR CREAM BE FROZEN

Yes and no, I would not recommending freezing as it can separate and create another texture. Better to chill and serve cold vs from frozen.
