WHY THIS SAUCE WORKS

  • Your original base is great — here’s what I refined:
  • Keeps it simple but elevated
  • Balanced fat (butter) with acid (lemon + stock)
  • Added shallots for deeper flavor (chef-level touch)
  • Optional cream for that “creamy” texture boost

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 package crab legs
  • ¾ cup unsalted butter
  • ¼ cup chicken stock
  • 6 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 shallots (finely diced)
  • 3 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp Old Bay seasoning
  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley (upgrade from 1 tsp)
  • Pinch black pepper

HOW TO MAKE CREAMY CRAB SAUCE

  1. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium-low heat.
  2. Add shallots and cook for 2–3 minutes until soft.
  3. Stir in garlic and cook until fragrant (about 1 minute).
  4. Pour in chicken stock and let simmer for 2–3 minutes.
  5. Add lemon juice and Old Bay seasoning.
  6. (Optional) Stir in heavy cream for a richer texture.
  7. Season with pepper and finish with fresh parsley.
  8. Serve warm over crab legs or as a dipping sauce.

PRO TIPS

  • Use low heat to prevent butter from separating
  • Fresh garlic = better flavor (always)
  • Don’t boil after adding cream — keep it silky
  • Add a splash of white wine for a gourmet twist
