Chinese Chicken Egg (Lo Mein) Noodles
These Chinese Chicken Egg (Lo Mein) Noodles are served in an authentic Asian sauce and is as good if not better than takeout. Plus, this whole dish is ready in under 20 minutes. Making for a delicious and easy skip the takeout dinner option that the whole family will love.
WHAT IS LO MEIN NOODLES
They are a egg based thin noodle that is often served with bean sprouts and come in a creamy sweet and savory Asian sauce that can be ordered from almost every Chinese restaurants. You can order this popular dish with meat or seafood as well. Traditionally, this dish is not spicy. However if you want you can always add some chili flakes to add a hint of heat to the dish.
These are my favorite dry egg noodles (however, there are many like this available) that are just as good.

How to make Chinese Chicken Egg (Lo Mein) Noodles
- I highly recommend starting with dry egg noodles, vs fresh as they taste better
- First your going to marinade your meat in half the Chinese Lo Mein sauce, 10 minutes will do the trick.
- Meanwhile, you will want to prepare and chop all your ingredients this makes brining the dish together super simple.
- As well as cook the egg noodles in boiling water till soft, strain in cold water and strain to set aside so that they are removed from all liquid.
- Once that is done, add the cooking oil to a hot pan and toss in your sliced onions and minced garlic, sauté till fragrant before adding in the marinaded chicken
- Sauté over medium heat till the chicken is well cooked, then remove the ingredients and set aside
- In the same pan add the remaining Chinese lo mien sauce and bean sprouts sauté one min before adding in the chicken or vegetables stock
- Toss for a few minutes
- Add the cooked noodles along with diced green onions
- Sauté for a few minutes to ensure everything is hot
- Serve and enjoy!
