Boursin Cheese Types

For this recipe, I used Black Truffle & Sea salt. However you can add just about any type depending on your flavor profile needs.

WHAT IS BOURSIN CHEESE

Boursin cheese is a brand of soft spreadable French cheeses. They come in 3 popular varieties and are all flavored with different ingredients. They are expanding their flavors by the day.

It is the perfect ingredient to flavor pasta and other dishes and it melts well and is similar to cream cheese.

What you will Need

Potatoes
Bourse cheese
Heavy/whipping cream
Grated parmesan cheese or white cheddar cheese
Butter

1 medium onion, diced
Garlic powder
Onion powder
Salt
Pepper

Boursin Cheese Scalloped Potatoes

How to Make Boursin Cheese Scalloped Potatoes

  • Preheat your oven to 350F Then peel and slice your potatoes as thin or thick as you like.
  • Then in a large saucepan melt the butter over medium heat and add in the heavy cream, and all seasonings.
  • Add in the boursin cheese along with shredded shredded cheese and melt to a creamy consistency.
  • Remove from the heat and set aside Next, spray a large baking dish or cast iron pan with cooking oil before layering in the sliced potatoes.
  • Pour over all the sauce to coat the potatoes.
  • Bake, covered with foil, for 30 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for another 30 minutes till fork tender. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds potatoes
  • 1 package of bourse cheese
  • 2 cups heavy/whipping cream
  • 1 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese or white cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp pepper

Instructions

  3. Add in the heavy cream, and all seasonings.

Notes

The thinner sliced potatoes cook fast then thicker.
