BENEFITS OF GARLIC WHEN BATTLING A COLD OR FLU
Garlic has immune boosting benefits and some Dr. will argue is a super food which can fight off viruses. As it has antiviral properties in it which can shorten or reduce the duration of an illness.
So in this soup you will find a good amount of garlic to help your body heal or get strong for the colder months ahead. If you can handle more garlic go ahead and add it! But be sure to cook it fully otherwise you can get an upset stomach!
There is two ways to serve this soup!
The first picture is my updated recipe and the one below is my older.
The differences are:
- I chopped the chicken into smaller pieces along with the mushrooms, bok choy, garlic and onions.
- Then served it with a lemon wedge for added vitamin C.
The way you prepare it is completely up to you, both ways are delicious! But my updated recipe is below in the recipe card which adds a few additions as mentioned above.
