Directions
This Sautéed Cabbage and Sausage is simmered alongside red and orange peppers and is seasoned just right.
You may be familiar with Kielbasa sausage which is often served alongside perogies and is known to be a very popular Eastern European dish.
This dish is pretty much that just with the addition of the red and orange peppers.
Also I like to add red pepper flakes in here too since it really helps to balance all the flavors out well.

Well this recipe is pretty similar and is just as popular amongst people in that side of the World.
This is one of my favorite ways to prepare Sautéed Cabbage and Sausage, it’s absolutely delicious!
This recipe is super simple to make as well, you can literally have this on the table in less than 30 minutes.
Whenever I make this I try to save some for the next day, because it makes such great leftovers.

Sautéed Cabbage and Sausage
Sweet and Spicy!
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp Butter
- 1 medium Onion
- 1/2 head Green Cabbage
- 3 Italian sausage
- 1/2 Red Pepper
- 1/2 Orange Pepper
- pinch Red Chili Flakes
- 2 cloves Garlic
- Pinch of Salt and Pepper to taste
Instructions
- In a large skillet add 1 tbsp of butter then add the diced sausage, once browned remove from the heat then add in the chopped cabbage and onion.
- Saute till soft then turn down the heat and add the minced garlic and saute one minute before adding in the chopped red & orange pepper.
- Toss back in the cooked sausage and saute on low - medium heat all together for 15 minutes, string often.
- Serve and enjoy!
