Sauce for Jerk Chicken

I’ve always loved Jamaican food, rather Caribbean food. I also love African food just as much, both cultures cook with scotch bonnet peppers. They are so good, spicy and make food taste amazing!

I have a collection of African and Caribbean dishes on this blog and this is just another recipe I have wanted to share here for a long time.

So here it is 🙂 Another popular Jamaican sauce is Green Scotch Bonnet Hot Sauce which can be found here too.

WHAT IS JERK SAUCE

It is very similar to Jamaican Scotch Bonnet Sauce however it has the addition of a few other ingredients. Such as soya sauce, brown sugar and well you just have to scroll down to the recipe card below to find out.

WHAT IS JERK CHICKEN

jerk chicken

Jerk chicken is a spicy chicken marinate and this recipe hails from Jamaica. In Jamaica they tend to grill there chicken and most of there meats outside.

However it can also be baked in the oven or in your air fryer which helps to make the clean up easy.

What makes this sauce spicy is the scotch bonnet peppers.
