This Ground Beef Mushroom Pasta Sauce recipe can be used on just about any type of pasta you choose and is hundred times better than anything you will buy from a can.

This sauce is traditional and made from scratch and is so simple to make but will defiantly you a fan of homemade vs the bottle stuff you find in the stores.
WHAT PASTA CAN YOU MAKE WITH GROUND BEEF
Basically any type of pasta will work. I used penne, but this also would go well over spaghetti or pappardelle.
WHAT IS GROUND BEEF PASTA SAUCE
This is a sauce that serves well over pasta. And is made with either fresh garlic and onions or powder whichever you have on hand works. Ground beef (hamburger) pureed tomatoes, red wine or beef broth and spices.
HOW TO MAKE GROUND BEEF PASTA SAUCE
First you will want to start with either a lean or medium lean package of ground beef.
- Sauté the ground beef in a large Dutch oven for 5 minutes then add in the diced mushrooms.
- Cook both together till browned, then toss in all your seasonings and stir well to combine.
- Next add in 1 cup of pureed canned tomatoes or passata sauce whatever you have on hand.
- Meanwhile, add 2 cups of either red cooking wine or 2 cups of beef stock to the ground beef and simmer covered on medium-low heat for 30 minutes till cooked. Stir a couple times to ensure the sauce does not stick to the pot.
- Toss the pasta in the cooked hamburger sauce and serve with parsley and parmesan cheese.

- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp of onion powder
- 1 bay leaf
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1/2 tsp salt
