This Chinese Black Bean Stir fry is made with chicken breasts, green peppers, broccoli and onions.

So skip the takeout tonight and make this popular dish in the comfort of your own home. Full of fresh vegetables and flavorful you are sure to want to make this again and again.
I have found that most restaurants that serve similar dishes will just serve a black bean dish with just green peppers and onions. However I really like to add crispy broccoli as well to this dish. It all goes so well together with the black bean sauce.

This delicious and authentic stir fry takes less than 30 minutes to make too! So let’s get started.
I don’t know about you but this vegetable mixture is perfect, however you can add mushrooms, broccoli or snow peas if you like as well.

Ingredients

1 tbsp Sesame oil

2 Boneless chicken breasts

1/2 head Broccoli

2 cloves crushed Garlic

1 tsp Fresh Ginger Root

1 large Onion

2 Green Pepper
-
1/2 cup Canned black beans
SAUCE
-
1/4 cup Oyster sauce
-
2 tbsp Black Bean Sauce
-
1 tbsp Shaoxing wine
-
1 tsp Medium Soya sauce
-
3 tsp black pepper
-
1 tsp Salt to taste
OPTIONAL
Instructions
- In a bowl add the chopped chicken breasts, 2 tbsp of chicken stock and 2 tbsp of cornstarch mix to combine and allow it to marinade for 30 minutes in the fridge.
- While your Chicken is marinating, cut up your broccoli, green pepper and onion into slices.
- Then crush the garlic and chop the ginger, set aside.
- In a large frying pan or wok, heat 1 tbsp of sesame oil and saute the chicken till no longer pink but do not cook fully yet and set aside.
- In the same pan add 1 more tbsp of oil your sliced vegetables and canned black beans.
- Saute for 2 minutes before adding in the ginger and garlic and saute another few minutes till fragrant.
- In a small bowl mix all the sauce ingredients together, then add it to the pan with the vegetables.

- Add back in the cooked chicken and simmer everything together on low heat, turning often for 5 minutes or until the sauce thickens up and vegetables are crisp tender.
- Serve with rice. Enjoy!
