Air Fryer Jerk Chicken Drumsticks

I like to make these Air Fryer Jerk Chicken Drumsticks with a homemade Jerk Sauce you can find that recipe right here on this blog it is fresh and ready in no time. You can always pre-purchase a sauce as well if you prefer.

WHAT IS JERK CHICKEN

Jerk Chicken is a Marinade that is often marinated with Chicken overnight prior to grilling or baking or even Air Frying.

When it comes to making Jerk Chicken, I suggest making the sauce from scratch. All you need is a BLENDER some gloves (I use those simple yellow kitchen dish washing gloves) so that I can handle the scotch bonnets safely.

JERK CHICKEN MARINADE

Consists of Scotch bonnet peppers, cilantro, olive oil, vinegar, soya sauce, onion, garlic, ginger, lime juice, thyme, cinnamon, allspice and salt.

Some people even add orange juice, pineapple or mango to the marinade. Mine has some orange juice to balance the flavors.

Jerk sauce

This spicy sauce is ready in less than 10 mins. And preserves in the fridge up to 3 months as it contains vinegar.
