If and when in Vancouver you should definitely check out the Boiling Point.
That is if you are in the mood for a hot pot.
What is a hot pot?
It is a stew of meat and vegetables that is served to the table and lite from below with fire once it arrives. This is to help it fully cook to perfection. It often has noodles of some kind in it or it is offered on the side alongside an array of spices and sauces to try!
This little quaint place, is tucked into the strip of other restaurants on main. And is very well priced and the menu has all you would expect from Hot Pot restaurant.
What can I say, besides this place is AMAZING and worth a visit!
My partner order #9 on the menu. The Hot Pot is called (TONKOTSHU MISO) and has pork, shrimp, tofu, egg and a few other meats and vegetables in the dish. It was super tasty as we shared! He order vermicelli noodles on the side.
I ordered number #4 on the menu which is the (BEEF HOT POT) it had beef of all cuts in it, mostly shaved though and tofu along with some vegetables. I ordered rice on the side!
Both these hot pots, come with water and free tea of your choice! We opted for cold green tea and black tea.

It is very clean and cozy however a bit cramped and so for that I gave it a 8 rating.
However, there is space between tables which is very nice.
But not much to space to walk around or pull out your chair if needed. Your seated you stay and your table then you pay and leave. The price is amazing, each hot pot is under $20 per person and the sizes are enough to fill you.
The Lunch hot pots are a dollar or so cheaper than the dinner size, and can be enjoyed anytime of the day. The staff is friendly, quick and attentive. And the food is amazing, no complaints there whatsoever.
We will definitely be back we are ever in the area again.
